Headbands to Act out Story with Rhyme



Print the headband pieces of your choice.  If you print black and white
have the children color the character.  Cut the piece out. Add either a sentence
strip of a strip of colored paper to make a headband.  Now have the children
wear the headbands as the act out and retell the story/song written below.


Have the children wear the character headbands and act out the song.
To the tune "Farmer in the Dell"

The Witch gets on the broom.
The Witch gets on the broom.
There's always room for everyone,
the Witch gets on the broom.

Continue with Cat, Dog, Bird and Frog.

Oh-No...The broom broke!!

The Dragon takes the Witch.
The Dragon takes the Witch.
Oh, NO YOU LET HER GO!
YOU CAN NOT HURT THE WITCH!

Have the Cat, Dog, Bird and Frog huddle together and yell, "BOO!"
Have the dragon let go of the witch and fly away.
