Crock Pot Applesauce

This is a really fun activity to do with children.  When preparing the apples, have an adult cut,
core and peel the apples.  After they are in slices, kids can easily use a cutting board and a butter knife and cut the apples into chunks.  Put them in the crock pot along with the other ingredients.
In a few hours you'll have applesauce.

Crock Pot Applesauce
Take ten large apples, peeled, cored and cut into chunks.  Put them in a crock pot along with ½ cup water, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, and ¾ cup sugar.  Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours
or low for 8-10 hours.  Take a potato masher and mash.  This can be eaten warm or cold.
 Refrigerate the remaining sauce.
