Egg Cup Apple or Pumpkin Treat Holder

For the Apple Treat Holder
These little treat holders would be great for a Johnny Appleseed birthday party or any day you're learning about apples.  Cut one individual cup from a cardboard egg carton.  Have the children paint the cups red.  After they are dry, use a 1/8" hole punch and punch a hole in the side of the cup.  Cut a 2" piece of brown pipe cleaner.  Bend it in half.  Put one end of the pipe cleaner into the hole.  Bring the pieces around and twist them together.  Cut a small leaf from a scrap of green fun foam.  Glue it to the top of the cup.  Put m&ms or a similar small treat inside.

 

For the Pumpkin Treat Holder
These little treat holders would be great for a Halloween or fall harvest party or any day you're learning about apples.  Cut one individual cup from a cardboard egg carton.  Have the children paint the cups orange.  After they are dry, use a 1/8" hole punch and punch a hole in the side of the cup.  Cut a 2" piece of brown pipe cleaner.  Bend it in half.  Put one end of the pipe cleaner into the hole.  Bring the pieces around and twist them together.    Put m&ms or a similar small treat inside.
