Apple Stand Activity for Teaching Money

           

Purchase a garland of apples and cut the apples off the garland.
  Spray paint part of them yellow, green or red. 
Print the chart and several order forms.  Laminate the pages.  Hang the Apples for Sale chart.  Put the apples in small baskets.  Have one child choose the apples that they would like to buy and have another child tally the order. 
All of the apples are ten cents each which children who are learning to count by ten can easily add.  The activity can also include play money which will extend learning.  If you cannot find the apple garland, a printable
apple page is below.  Strawberry baskets are also a good addition to this activity as well.
