Emergent Reader for We're Going on Bear Hunt

Print the emergent reader.  Cut the pages apart.  Have the children color the pages.  Give them a piece of 6.5 x 2" green construction paper.  Have them
fringe the edge and glue it to page one.  On page two have the children use
water colors to paint the river.  On page three have them dot their fingers in  brown paint and "muddy" the page.  On page five, have the children use a hole punch and punch holes from white construction paper.  Have them glue
them to the page.  Have them cut out the cave.  Have them put glue on the dotted lined rectangle and glue the cave into place.  Assemble when dry.
