3-D Butterfly with Writing Prompt

Print a copy for each child.  Color, cut apart on the solid line.  Fold the wings
up on the dotted lines.  Put glue on the backside of the rectangle. 
Glue it to a piece of construction paper. 
Glue the body on top of the rectangle.  Add antennae by cutting thin
strips of black construction paper and curling it.

If you want to extend this activity into a writing practice, print one of the writing prompts below.  Attach the butterfly to a large sheet of construction paper.  Have the children complete the writing prompt and attach it to the construction paper as well.  These would look cute hanging
 in a hallway.
