Balancing Act Frog

**This idea was sent in by a viewer**

Print the pattern below and cut it out.  Trace it onto a piece of fun foam.  Have the children use oil pastels to decorate the frog if you would like.  Have them cut it out.  An adult will need to use a hot glue gun to glue and paste a penny on the bottom of the each front arm as shown.  Have the children glue wiggly eyes to the top of the frog.  After the glue has dried, have the children stick out their index finger.  Place the frog's head on their finger.  The frog will balance there.
If you want, you can make an experiment by making several frogs and placing the pennies in a variety of spots.  Let the children experiment with the frogs observing the placement of the pennies and the way the frog sit on their fingers.
For fun you could also take the children outside and run a relay race making the children balance the frogs on their fingers as they race.
