Name Recognition/Spelling Activity with Kites

Print a kite on colored construction paper.  Cut out the kite.  Add a child's photo and print their name underneath.  Print the letters.  You may need to print more than one set to have enough letters to spell the names.  Cut out the letters.  Laminate the kite and the letters.  Attach a string to the kite. 
Have the children identify the child.  Then have them spell the child's name on the kite string using the bows.
