Toilet Paper Tube Puppets for a Ladybug Theme

You will need a toilet paper tube for each child.  In advance, cut a toilet
paper tube as shown.  Have the children paint it black.  Give them a piece
of red construction paper that is 3" x 3.5".  Have the round the corners of the paper and then cut it in half as shown.  Glue the wings onto the dried toilet
paper tube.  Use a hole punch to punch holes from a scrap of black
construction paper.  Glue wiggly eyes to the ladybug as well.

Here is another version.  Cut a toile paper tube in half.  Have the children
paint it red.  After it is dry, have them take a black marker and draw a line
down the center.  Use a hole punch to punch holes from a scrap of black
construction paper.  Glue the dots to the ladybug.  Give each child a piece of construction paper that is 1.25" x 2".  Have them round two
corners to make the head and glue it to the toilet paper tube.  Have the children glue wiggly eyes to the toilet paper tube.

These can be used with your favorite ladybug rhyme.
