Construction Paper Marigolds

This is actually a great math project as the children practice
working with shapes from the largest to the smallest.

In advance, cut orange and yellow squares in the following widths:
3.5”, 3.0”, 2.5”, 2.0”, 1.5”, 1.0”
From green cut 1” strips and 1.5” x3.5” rectangles.
Have the children use crinkled edge scrap booking scissors to cut and make the squares into circles.  Layer them on top of each other and glue to make a marigold. Have them glue a stem and the flower down onto a large sheet
of construction paper.  Have them cut the green rectangles for leaves.
