Snake from Cardboard Tube

**The snake shown is not decorated**

Paint a cardboard tube.  After it is dry, cut along the spiral. 
Give the children construction paper scraps and other miscellaneous items
 to decorate their snake.  Children can easily cut their own head
from construction paper but if you prefer you can print the page below
 on green construction paper.  This project will help children visualize
 the way the snake coil around objects.
