Hand Print Spider with Poem




Have the children place their hands in black paint and stamp them onto white paper.  After the hands have dried, cut out the the four fingers and the palm in one piece.  Print the body pattern on black construction paper
and cut it out.  Print the poem on regular paper and cut it out.  Glue the pieces together as shown.  You can have the children use scraps of construction paper to make eyes or use pompoms or wiggly eyes.  You could
also use the pattern below, make a stencil and have the children trace and cut out the body.

This spider is not scary.
Look real close, you’ll see.
It’s made with my hand,
which is a part of me!
