Circle Time Color Identification Activity

Print the trees of your choice.  If you print the black and white version,
color them.  Cut the pieces out.  Laminate the tree top. Gather a paint stick for
 each tree you printed.  Color the paint sticks brown.  Hot glue the tree top
 to the paint stick.  Cut the words out.  Using clear packaging tape, tape the words to the back of the tree.
During your circle time, hand the trees out to the children.
Then say the words:

Red bird, red bird,
high in the tree,
Name all of the red things that you see.

Have the child whose tree has the red bird stand and name the red things in the room.  Continue with the activity calling for other colored birds.
