Shake dem Halloween Bones Music Idea

 

This is one of my all time favorite Halloween books.  The illustration are awesome and the characters
in the book come from a variety of races.  The kids in the book are all dressed up like fairy tale characters
and the story is written in a "rap music" format that is easy to sing. 
To extend reading the story into more of an activity, purchase Halloween shakers in the Halloween
aisle of your local discount store such as Wal-mart.  When you get to the chorus of "Shake, shake,
shake dem bones at the Hip Hip Halloween ball", have your kids shake the shakers.  If you have older kids, try to get them to shake in time to the beat.  This has been a favorite Halloween activity.
