Lacing Activity to Make Joseph's Coat
To do this activity you will need a hallow punch. They are not easy to find,
but it will be worth the search because this activity turned out really
cute. You may find the punch at a local farm store.
The cost was about $5. A hollow punch is hallowed out in the inside.
Print the attached paper onto cardstock. Lay the paper out onto a wooden
cutting board or sewing mat. Put the punch over a hole and hit the end of the punch with a hammer. Punch all of the holes out. Have the children
color the picture, but only color the coat tan or a light yellow. Then give
the children a piece of variegated rainbow colored yarn. Tie a knot
in one end and lace to make Joseph’s coat. I would encourage them
to do the sleeves first.
