Beginning Tying Practice for a Lion Theme

Print the page.  Have the children color it and cut it out.  Have them take a hole punch
and punch holes around the outside.  Have the children cut yellow or orange yarn into 3.5"
pieces.  Have them lace the yarn through the holes and tie into knots.  This activity helps
increase fine motor skills and helps children begin to understand the beginning
part of tying shoes.
