Here's something super simple to extend your playdough time. Give the children orange playdough.
Cut brown pipecleaners so they are only an inch or so long. Have the children roll little balls of
playdough. Stick a brown pipecleaner into the dough to create a stem.
Then have the children act out the rhyme Five Little Pumpkins Sitting on the Gate:
Five little pumpkins sitting on the gate
The first one said, "Oh my it's getting late."
The second one said, "There are witches in the air."
The third one said, "We don't care."
The fourth one said, "Let's run and run and run."
The fifth one said, "I'm ready for some fun."
Then whoosh went the wind and out went the light and the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
